Bruce woke from the nightmare that was more horrifying than the current situation going on in the city.

"Man I finally get a chance to get some rest and it turns out to be a nightmare." Bruce grunted as he stood up to stretch his weary bones.  The black echidna starts walking through the Liberty Rogues but stops a clock hanging on the wall.

"hm, its 3 in the morning, its quiet and peaceful i guess everybody is finally getting some rest."  Bruce walks to the front of the base but then he suddenly stopped and grabbed his head.

"Man this is one hell of a headache, maybe a aspirin will do the trick."  He was about to make his way into the base until the headache got worse, he fell to the floor his head from seem to be one skull splitting headache.

"What the hell?!!!"  Bruce starts hearing voices but sees noone, his left flashes red for a split second.

"AH!!!!" Bruce screams but muffles his yell so it wouldn't wake the others, Bruce took out one of his knives and cut himself in an attempt to quell the pain throbbing inside of his head.

'No you mustn't' A voice speaks out.

"Whose ther- AH!!!" Then suddenly the headache stopped, his left become a blood thirsty red as information passed through, Bruce walks outside the base and smirks.

"So this is the power they gave me." Its starts to rain outside the base, Bruce looks  up at the sky as the rain begins to absorb into his eyes.

"The war of the shadows...." Bruce puts down his head and his red eye starts to glow.

"....is about to begin."  Bruce disappears from the point where he was standing not know that Pamela saw the whole thing.  She ran through the base awaking everyone.

"Everybody wake up Bruce has left the base!!!!"  Pamela said with a worried voice.

"He what?!!!" everyone said in unison.

"Where could he be going?" Pamela said trying to stay calm.

"If my guess is correct......." Steven said as he brought out a map and pointed the enemies main stronghold.

"...to the people who ruined his life." Steven said as everyone stood in silence.

'I never knew he was suffering this much.  What did they do to him?  Please Bruce come back safe.'
